"After the tulips have finished blooming, they are removed to make space to plant a combination of annuals for summer blooms. Each year we try different colors— most recently pink and orange, but probably my favorite was a mix of white and cream."—Bunny Williams, LIFE IN THE GARDEN

Filled with childhood anecdotes and tales from her days as a budding designer, Life in the Garden connects Bunny Williams’s past and present by offering a window into the inspiration behind the garden surrounding her Connecticut home. Thanks to the vibrant photography of Annie Schlechter, readers get to see an intimate portrait of grounds labored over for 40 years. Bunny contemplates how her life has slowly shaped her garden and how in turn, it has slowly formed her thoughts, practices, and ultimately her soul. Bunny takes readers through the seasons as she lends her expert practical advice on flower arranging, planting, and decorating. The book culminates with the author’s reflections and tips for entertaining, reflecting her belief that her garden is only made complete with the friends and family filling it.
