Meet Melanie Millner

Melanie Millner specializes in deigning refined, timeless interiors that elevate the way people live and work. Her deep apprecia- tion for architecture, combined with her ability to focus on each unique detail, enables her to transform clients’ visions into beauti- fully executed spaces that live as well as they feel. Drawing inspiration from her frequent travels and her love of architecture and art, Melanie continues to attract a loyal client base looking to tap into her vision for layered interiors that elegantly exude a sense of comfort and ease. Born in New York, Melanie spent the formative years of her life on Long Island and in the Northeast. Her family then moved to Texas, where she attended The University of Texas at Austin, graduating in 1990 with a degree in interior design. Upon graduation, Melanie relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, and worked for an architectural firm until she gained the experience needed to start her own interiors firm, founded in 1993. The Design Atelier has since become a full-service, high-end interior design firm with a focus on residential and boutique commer- cial spaces. Melanie has acquired clients all over the country, including Georgia, Texas, Colorado, Maine, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Virginia. Her projects have been featured in several publications, and she has been a designer for 11 showhouses. In addition, Melanie has received numerous ASID Design Excellence awards. When she is not working, Melanie spends free time with her three teenage children while also traveling and enjoying summers in Maine.
