Interior designer Ashley Gilbreath stands in a stylish, functional laundry room she created for a client

Ashley Gilbreath, a residential designer with projects from New York to Florida, is known for her casual, elegant style. When it comes to functional spaces that feel stylish and welcoming, she is full of practical ideas. For a trio of short videos produced by Flower magazine for the Ballard Designs YouTube Channel, Ashley walks us through her tips for organizing and accessorizing three areas of the home:

Home Bar: Here, the key is choosing accessories that are multi-purpose and pretty. They are entertainment ready, but can also be used in other ways when off duty, such as containers for flowers or to corral items on a coffee table. Watch video.

Laundry Room: “Nobody likes to do laundry, especially me,” Ashley says, but the chore is more pleasant when a home’s laundry area is “well kept, organized, and pretty.” Watch video.

Home Office: Ashley shows us a serene home office she designed for a client that balances “real-life work, plus family lifestyle … plus toys, plus papers, plus homework.” Watch video.
