THE LIBRARY
“Bring classic elements forward in a modern way.” Rather than drapery treatments for a pair of oval windows, Barry designed metal mesh screens that diffuse light and punctuate the busts atop see-through pedestals. Barry designed the dahlia cowhide rug by Kyle Bunting and used fabrics by Vervain, Stroheim, and TylerGraphic.
FLORAL SPOTLIGHT
Inspired by the trees outside the library’s bay window, Barry wanted to bring elements of the woods inside. Keith Robinson of Gloriosa Design used a tall, clear glass vase to create a canopy of magnolia and other branches in the center of the room. A green goblet of bronze China mums creates a sunny nucleus on the table below.
