portrait of interior designer Kendall WilkinsonInterior Designer Kendall Wilkinson and her team are quite versed in the masterful mix. Their rooms are layered and dynamic, with deft pairings of older gems and modern pieces and a keen sense of color. This color prowess is reflected in the designer’s newest collection for Fabricut. Each color group is inspired by her global travels—the lights of Paris, the colorful motifs of Mexico, and the patterns and textures of nature. Coastline reveals rich blues and soft aquas, while Cityscape presents a neutral palette. Jardiniére, our favorite, calls to mind a garden of wildflowers with a rich mix of berry hues and dark greens.

“This line reflects me in many ways, but the colors I chose are really ones that I gravitate towards in all aspects of my life. This collection has the right amount of textural neutrals as the needed foil for bold design decisions,” says Wilkinson. “The jewel tones in the line reflect my love for the bright pop of color needed to create that extra bit of drama. I love the tension that color can create in interiors. From bold blues and purples to deep pine greens, there is a richness to the palette.”

This second collection also debuts embroidered and tactile trims and tapes to up the style quotient and make the fabrics sing. As Wilkinson explains, “The trim collection is like jewelry, the perfect accessory to adorn the fabrics for a layered and luxurious look.” — Photos courtesy of Fabricut, fabricut.com
