The Cathedral Antiques Show is a festival of art, antiques, and floral and interior design held annually to benefit a designated charity. The Show is a major outreach project sponsored by the Episcopal Church Women of the Cathedral of St. Philip. With the help of hundreds of volunteers and support from the church, antiques dealers, corporate sponsors, patrons, and the community, the Antiques Show has raised more than $5 million for Atlanta-area nonprofits since its inception in 1969.
The 2017 Show is full of new features and new faces. The antiques component of the Show has been reimagined to provide a more engaging experience for patrons, and our fabulous Flower Festival and home tours will be complemented by the addition of a gallery of contemporary art, a gardening boutique and a Young Collectors’ Booth. We have also assembled an extraordinary lineup of speakers with loyal followings: Architectural Digest AD100 designer Alexa Hampton; restorer of Venice’s Gritti Palace and design director of Studio Rubelli Chuck Chewning; former White House floral designer Laura Dowling; and flower magazine editor-in-chief Margot Shaw.
The Cathedral receives no funding from the Show: all of each year’s net proceeds are given to the beneficiary organization. The 2017 Cathedral Antiques Show beneficiary is First Step Staffing. The co-chairs of the 2017 show — our 46th — are Laura Cullen and Beverly Gwynn.
The Cathedral Antiques Show is held at the Cathedral of St. Philip, 2744 Peachtree Road, NW, Atlanta, Georgia 30305.
