Brit Morin

Brit Morin makes things everywhere she goes, from mouthwatering recipes to easy but chic décor projects. Indeed, just call her Silicon Valley’s DIY It Girl

This former software engineer for Google and Apple parlays her love of crafting into Brit + Co., an online platform that delivers simple how-tos for women who long to create by hand. Morin also offers items for sale on her website, including a spin on permanent botanicals—flowers she fabricates with the help of a 3-D printer. “They make it possible to share a cutting-edge technology with everyone,” she says, as she offers up a rose. “It’s amazing that a printer can create something so delicate and beautiful.”

To see Brit in action, attend her annual Re:Make Festival in San Francisco, California, where attendees are invited to shop handmade goods and learn how to make several easy DIY projects for free.

Brit also wrote a book filled with unique ideas and step-by-step DIY projects for the modern homemaker in Homemakers: A Domestic Handbook for the Digital Generation (William Morrow Paperbacks, 2015).
